As a Grafana Admin, open Administration β Plugins β DashPDF Report Exporter β Configuration. All settings are in the DashPDF connection section.
API URL
The default is https://api.dashpdf.app. Change it only if you use a self-hosted DashPDF. The page shows the Effective API URL in use.
Instance token
The token links this Grafana to your DashPDF account. It starts with dpdf_inst_.
- At dashpdf.app open Grafana instances, enter a name and click Create token.
- Copy the token right away: it is shown only once.
- Paste it into Instance token and click Save settings.
The token is stored encrypted and is never sent to the browser. If you revoke it at dashpdf.app, exports from this Grafana stop working.
Service account token for schedules
Schedules run without a signed-in user, so they need a Grafana service account token (it starts with glsa_).
- In Grafana open Administration β Users and access β Service accounts and create a service account with the Viewer role.
- Add a token to it and paste it into Service account token for schedules.
- Click Save settings.
The token is stored encrypted and is never sent to the browser or to DashPDF. If Grafana rejects it, the page shows Grafana rejected this service account token (HTTP 401) and schedules stop until you save a valid token.
Checking the connection
After saving, click Test connection. You see Connection OK or Connection failed with the reason. When the token is accepted, the page shows Registered, and the instance appears on the Grafana instances page at dashpdf.app.
