Exports are made on the plugin's Export page. You can open it in several ways:
- from the app menu: DashPDF Report Exporter → Export;
- from a dashboard: the command palette or, in Grafana 13, the dashboard sidebar → Export dashboard;
- from a panel: panel menu → Extensions → Export panel.
When you open Export from a dashboard or panel, the fields are filled in for you.
Whole dashboard
Pick a Dashboard (search by title) and leave Scope on Whole dashboard.
Single panel
Set Scope to Single panel and choose the Panel. Opening Export from the panel menu selects it automatically.
Time range and variables
The export uses the time range and variables from the dashboard link it was opened from. Otherwise the dashboard's saved defaults are used.
PDF and PNG
In the Output section choose:
- Format: PDF (a paginated document) or PNG (one image);
- Paper size: A4 or Letter;
- Orientation: Portrait or Landscape;
- Layout: Pages or Single long page. With pages, a panel is never split between pages.
Running the export
Click Export PDF or Export PNG. The first export after a quiet period can take about a minute; you can stop it with Cancel.
When the file is ready you see PDF ready or PNG ready. The file is saved and is also listed on the Dashboard page at dashpdf.app. If something could not be rendered exactly, the result shows Report warnings. On failure you see Export failed with the reason.
